Featuring the best teams from throughout the year, the
Championship Playoffs is a double-elimination event for the NEWA
Championship.
To
qualify for the playoffs, a team must finish in the top 8 of any NEWA
Tournament during the year*.
Teams finishing in the top 8 qualify for the playoffs and
receive points equal to those awarded to them for rankings for that
particular event. If a team finishes in the top 8 more than once, the
points are added to their previous total. These points are used at the
end of the season to determine each team’s playoff seeding. This
produces seedings based on both the tournament difficulty and the performance
of each team. (*Youth Series excluded)
